U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Approves CPEI for Education Benefits

Orange Park, FL — Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI) is pleased to announce that it has been officially approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer education benefits to eligible veterans, active-duty service members, and other qualified individuals.

This important designation allows students to use their VA education benefits toward CPEI’s accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs and Supervisory Education (SEC) programs, making high-quality training in chaplaincy and spiritual care more accessible and affordable.

Veterans and qualifying individuals can now enroll in CPEI’s programs and request reimbursement for tuition through the VA. This reduces the financial burden of professional education and opens new pathways to careers in hospital chaplaincy, hospice care, corrections, behavioral health, and military ministry — fields where the demand for clinically trained spiritual care providers continues to grow.

The NAVAC logo is round and has a gold background with a dark blue cross. Four major symbols of faith are at each point of the horizontal bar of the cross.

In addition, the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains (NAVAC) has confirmed its acceptance of CPEI’s accredited CPE units, further validating the quality and credibility of CPEI’s training for those who seek to serve in VA medical centers and beyond.

CPEI is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
