Clinical Pastoral Education International CPE Units Recognized by National Association of Catholic Chaplains

Orange Park, FL — Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), recognizing CPEI’s Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units toward NACC certification and expanding professional opportunities for NACC’s students and individuals discerning chaplaincy.

Now in its 60th year, NACC continues to evolve to meet emerging needs.

“This collaboration is a natural extension of our shared commitment to excellence in spiritual care,” said Dr. Dallas E. Speight, CEO of CPEI. “We’re honored to support NACC’s vibrant community with accessible, high-quality CPE.”

“This partnership broadens the scope of chaplaincy training available to NACC members,” added NACC Board President Austine Duru. “Working with CPEI creates new pathways for those discerning a call toward spiritual care and chaplaincy ministry to get the necessary experience and training required to be successful. It also strengthens the overall ecosystem of professional chaplaincy.”

This forward-looking agreement recognizes the quality and rigor of CPEI’s distance learning model, strengthening NACC’s mission to support, educate, and certify Catholic chaplains and spiritual care professionals across diverse settings. It also reaffirms NACC’s commitment to growth, innovation, and inclusive spiritual care, core values that have guided its past and will shape its future.
