Clinical Pastoral Education International Receives Accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission

Orange Park, FL — Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI) is proud to announce that it has been granted accreditation by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). The accreditation renewal is scheduled for June 2027.

This significant achievement marks a milestone in CPEI’s commitment to providing high-quality distance education in the field of clinical pastoral education.

The DEAC, a nationally recognized accrediting agency, evaluated CPEI’s programs, policies, and procedures through a comprehensive review process, which included a site visit on January 11, 2024, and a thorough examination of the institution’s operations and educational offerings.

The Commission’s decision, based on the March 4, 2024 Chair’s Report and CPEI’s April 4, 2024 response, confirms that CPEI meets DEAC’s rigorous standards for educational quality, ethical business practices, and continuous improvement.

Accreditation by DEAC serves as a reliable indicator of the value and quality of the distance education provided by CPEI. The scope of accreditation extends to the following programs:

  • Certificate in Clinical Pastoral Education
  • Certificate in Supervisory Education

This report will further demonstrate CPEI’s dedication to continuous quality enhancement and adherence to DEAC standards.

(BCCI) have officially approved CPEI as a provider of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) toward BCCI chaplain certification. “This is a major milestone for CPEI and for the many students and chaplains we serve,” said Dallas E.
